About this listen

When Everleigh Beckett sets out to solve a Christmas mystery, she doesn’t give up, especially with P.I. Isaac Stern at her side.

The previous Christmas, Everleigh and Isaac solved the case of Rachel Walters, the two-day old infant abducted from Heritage Hospital. This Christmas, the duo has a more puzzling case to tackle.

Luciana Esperanza went missing when she was 19. The child of undocumented workers, her parents feared filing a missing persons report, until her sister comes forward, believing she’s spotted Luciana near the Capitol.

Can Everleigh and Isaac solve a case that is more than 22 years old? What happened to Luciana Esperanza, and can they bring another lost soul home for the holidays?

Just as enjoyable as the first story

Listening to the characters build their relationships draws you into the story. It’s refreshing to hear cold case missing persons where there is at least hope of a happy ending rather than sadness from murder. Kelley Hazen is so fluid with her voices that you forget you are listening to one person

Another ML Hamitlon/Kelley Hazen Win!

For me, audiobooks writen by ML Hamilton and performed by Kelley Hazen are always winners and this book meets all those expectations. My only complaint is that I have to wait another year for the next book in the series!

Police Detrctive Everleigh and Private Investigator Isaac team up again to solve a cold missing persons case. After over twenty years, the likelihood of the victim being alive is slim, but if anyone can uncover the truth, it is these two. The story has plenty of emotion and may even be a trigger for some, but the idea of a possible Christmas miracle is always a joy to consider.

I love how ML Hamilton puts a lot of thought into creating an entire world in a series. The side characters, the pets, and even the semi-annoying exes are all thoughtfully crafted. Kelley Hazen then creates the voices of these characters that reflect their personality and contribution to the story.

I loved this audiobook and I enjoyed the narration. Cannot believe I have wait a whole year for the next book!
