“My dear friend Jennie Allen shows us how to make true emotional connections with the right people so that our authentic relationships can be healthy for all.”—Lysa TerKeurst, author of It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way
In a world that’s both more connected and more isolating than ever before, we’re often tempted to do life alone, whether because we’re so busy or because relationships feel risky and hard. But science confirms that consistent, meaningful connection with others has a powerful impact on our well-being. We are meant to live known and loved. But so many are hiding behind emotional walls that we’re experiencing an epidemic of loneliness.
In Find Your People, bestselling author Jennie Allen draws on fascinating insights from science and history, timeless biblical truth, and vulnerable stories from her own life to help you:
• overcome the barriers to making new friends and learn to initiate with easy-to-follow steps
• find simple ways to press through awkward to get to authentic in conversations
• understand how conflict can strengthen relationships rather than destroy them
• identify the type of friend you are and the types of friends you need
• learn the five practical ingredients you need to have the type of friends you’ve always longed for
You were created to play, engage, adventure, and explore—with others. In Find Your People, you’ll discover exactly how to dive into the deep end and experience the full wonder of community. Because while the ache of loneliness is real, it doesn’t have to be your reality.

“We know we need to do life with other people and have a supportive community around us instead of living in isolation, but we often wonder how when we’ve had friendships fail, we’ve been hurt, or we feel too busy to even make the effort. In Find Your People, my dear friend Jennie Allen shows us how to make true emotional connections with the right people so that our authentic relationships can be healthy for all.”—Lysa TerKeurst, #1 New York Times bestselling author and president of Proverbs 31 Ministries

Thank you Jesus for Jennie
God has placed me somewhere where I knew no one and now I feel like I know everyone and this book could not have come at a better time. It’s encouraged me towards greater connection with others. I love how your heart shines through in this book and that you read it to us. Thank you for your sacrifice to birth this baby. ❤️

Excellent
This book speaks so well into to a current and deadly issue in our times. Thank you so much Jennie for writing this. It is particularly hard in churches these days for single people like me, it seems a congregation is often made up of families with little kids or older people and not many like to really do life together because they are all too busy doing church activities...completely missing people sitting right next to them in each service. Hopefully this book will help the issue person by person.

Non-inclusive if you're not a Christian creationis
This book is heavily based on Christian thinking and belief, which I think should be stated somewhere on the cover. "Community building for creationists" might be a more fitting title.
While I welcome people having their own beliefs and don't mind a smattering of God talk, I don't welcome people pushing their beliefs on me, especially as this is a self help book and reasoning based on the existence of God is, from my point of view, faulty. As soon as she started stating that God made you for community I knew this was a book I could get nothing from.

Not a Christian? Then don’t bother reading this book
Very disappointed - this book is not about finding your people but more about how to make friends-as long as they’re Christians. Two completely different things. Lots of Bible quotes taking up the content. Misleading title- waste of a credit.

Author's main message "Find God" not useful.
Very preachy, not practical advice about finding/developing networks. Irritating to be told how God has created us, if only that were true.

Too religious and self indulgent
I’m not religious so the constant references to Jesus, god and the holy trinity and how we are at war with the enemy it god are too much for me. I also find she spends far too much time talking about herself in a very self indulgent manner. It might resonate with some but I just found it annoying to listen to as I didn’t buy a biography of the author
