About this listen

Yeah, I'm a treasure hunter. No, I'm not rich. Or busy. Or successful.

Not yet.

I'm doing my very best at making a living in my newfound career. I've got magic, a pair of brownie sidekicks, and enough ambition to fill every chilly corner of Edinburgh castle.

What I don't have is any actual treasure to hunt.

However, when a young girl asks me for help, I end up embroiled in a deeply dangerous search for an ancient magical artifact. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one who wants to find it. Between fire-breathing dragons, vicious vampires, and lethally powerful fiends, I've got my work cut out for me if I'm going to locate the treasure first.

At least this time I've got help. Hugo Pemberville might be as provocative as ever but he has also attached himself to my side. Sure, I've got a few teeny tiny problems of my own to deal with—but I've got everything under control.

Sort of.

more exciting adventures

I like the overall mood and tone of this series, its fun and energetic and romantic without being too focused on the romance. I'm enjoying learning more about the characters and I like that its fairly light-hearted overall although there are some tense moments! The author is very good at doing convincing personalities for their characters so the story stays grounded even with the fantastical elements. Can't wait for the next one and anything else the author writes I will def give a go too!

Loving This Series

I've read/listened to all the author's books, and this series doesn't disappoint; the opposite is true. Light and fun but with a serious side too. I am eagerly awaiting the next book to become available on Audible.

A great listen

I really like Daisy's character, I love that a lot of the book is based around Scotland (I live in Glasgow). The book has all manner of supernatural creatures, some chasing ancient treasure, some chasing each other. There's plenty of giggles provided mainly by Hester. Ruth is a great narrator, I love her different accents and voices for each character.
