Summary
Never fall for straight guys--especially when they're friends with your brother.
Jeremy knows that. Honest! All he wanted was a little work done on his house.
That was it. Nothing too complicated.
And if he can get it done cheap because some guy owes his brother a favor? Even better!
The last thing he expected when Declan knocked on his door was to find the hottest man he'd ever seen. Or for that person to barely be able to speak to him or look him in the eye.
Why would his brother even be friends with a 'phobic dudebro?
By the time the renovations are finishing up, Jeremy's prepared to let Declan's favor to his brother be paid in full and forget about the guy's shy smile and ripped body.
But his interfering brother has other plans.
Favor is a novella featuring a busybody older brother, piercings in fun places, a very suggestive sculpture, spackle used as a flirting technique, a not-so-straight contractor, and an audiobook narrator who's had a bit of a dry spell and is sure he's imagining the way the hot contractor is looking at him.

Cute, short and sweet MM novella worth the listen
Cute, short and sweet MM romp with sexuality miscommunication as the main plot driver. Sassy Jeremy is so out and proud and confident he just can't fathom how a hot, buff guy like Declan could be socially awkward, but hey - he'll overlook it to get some free work done on his house, even if he's managed to convince himself Declan's awkward silences are poorly veiled homophobia. Bless these idiots, because it's such an enjoyable novella, with a surprisingly slow burn (especially for a Kiki book!) and I really enjoyed it. The audiobook is a delight, with a narrator who is a giant within the MM genre and he brings great personality to all the characters, with great pacing.

Such a swoony resolution
I adored this when I read it, and it’s just as good in audiobook. It’s narrated by Liam DiCosimo, who is fantastic and does a great job with these characters.
It’s a quick read about Jeremy and Declan and a whole lot of miscommunication. Declan is a shy contractor who has a crush on Jeremy, his best friend's younger brother. A recent encounter gone awry leads to Declan and his best friend coming up with a scheme so that Declan can get a re-do with the younger man.
I adore Declan - he’s a quiet and thoughtful man. And good with his hands! I would be willing to fight Jeremy for him. And Jeremy, though seemingly aloof, is quite lovely when he’s finally on the same page.

Fun, fast-paced and sexy!
I love a good bit of miscommunication or wrong assumptions and Jeremy and Delcan are great. With shy Dec thinking he's blown his chance and Jeremy think Dec is a straight DudeBro, the back and forth and confusion is that much better.
This story is done at full speed with all the feels happening quickly. I liked getting to know all the characters and how they all fit into such a short story. I'm looking forward to the next one and hope Simon can find his HEA too!

Wonderful short story
I really enjoyed this short love story. I like the author's writing style, which made it easy for me to empathize with the two main characters, Jermey and Declan.
Jeremy has his house remodeled by his brother's friend. Delcan takes on the job, but he is very shy and Jeremy's first impression of him is less than ideal. Many misunderstandings follow, so the romance gets off to a rather slow start. Delcan is awkward at times, but quite sweet and incredibly shy. Jeremey, on the other hand, is very outgoing and he knows how to cover up his weaknesses very well.
But as soon as the first obstacles are overcome, nothing stands in the way of a relationship and from then on it gets hot. The relationship is fast and intense and I would have liked the story to be a bit longer so that the emotions could be described more intensely.
I can recommend this short, entertaining and steamy story.
The audiobook was narrated by LiamDiCosimo and he did a great job. He brought the story to life with his performance and matching voices. I'm already looking forward to the next volume!
