About this listen

The Thirteenth Paladin and his companions are finally reunited with each other and have found a worthy ally in the Eternal Empress—another Paladin who will take part in the war against the Adversary. But the effects of Ahren's journey through the empire have left their mark on him. And so, they all set off to Thousand Halls, the original home of the dwarfs, in the hope of finding the mysterious Father of the Mountain who will surely help Ahren in his recovery.

If all goes to plan, the nations of Jorath will at last unite and build an alliance against the ever-growing Pall Cloud. Yet Ahren and his companions have underestimated the enemy, for the Dark god has long since prepared a trap, which is only waiting to snap shut on the unsuspecting travelers . . .

twist reveal. Great book

the book follows on from the previous titles really well. whilst there isnt as much fighting as I would have thought there are some pretty intense scenes.
as the title suggests at the end the is a revelation I wasn't expecting. enjoy.

Fantastic series

I am now (book 8) officially addicted to the story and I normally listen to one and then have a change and come back for the next in the series - I am immediately starting the next as I cannot wait to find out more of the story - a fantastic audio series !

A wonderfully entertaining tale, gripping and enthralling.

Excellent voice acting and an excellent addition to the 13th saga, with suspense, drama and an excellent story. 😀

Exciting next instalment of the 13 novels

Compelling story line, with appealing characters. Find the love parts sickly and somewhat false, (eg describing Kara as ‘beloved’ etc.) Otherwise the rest is very good.
