Summary

This is the story of how Securicor guard Eddie Maher managed to pull off a £1.2 million heist, fled the country despite every port being closed, spawned an international manhunt and managed to evade capture for 20 years. As Britain's most wanted man, he led 30 detectives, FBI and Interpol on a wild goose chase across the USA.
Dubbed 'Fast Eddie' by the press, he was always one step ahead, and after two decades on the run with his family using a series of of aliases and identities, Eddie began to think he'd committed the perfect crime, until a cruel and dramatic betrayal proved otherwise....

Bingeworthy
I bought this during one of Amazon's sales for something a bit different and it was.. The story was just the right length, fast paced and very well narrated. There would have been plenty of chapters that could have been told in much greater detail but I suspect that the author not only wants to protect the identity of others and his own unique way of fixing the system but also preserves the momentum of the book without getting bogged down with too much narrative. Great book, such an interesting life and good luck to the guy, he's clearly very talented in so many ways.

Reverting Read. Listened to in one sitting.
Great to get Eddie's real life perspective, history & outcome of events. Seems Eddie got to enjoy only a fraction of the amount of money allegedly stolen.

Couldn't stop listening.
really great story, really well told. I loved the narrator, he seemed to capture Eddy really well and I felt I was listening to Eddy tell his story. I'm sad it's over and the whole thing was enjoyable. highly recommended.

Really good
It was the kind of subject matter I like anyway, so a good start. After a chapter or two I began to think it would drag. The actual robbery took up very little of the story, but it was great. A well planned, nicely plotted life story. If you're looking for wham bam shoot 'em ups, this isn't for you. If you want an interesting look at life of someone on the run, it's great.

Surprisingly enjoyable
Well read and interesting story. I really enjoyed this and it never got boring or implausible. It's nice to read something so different for a change.
