Critic reviews

“Don't look for happy endings in these five fairytale-themed stories. Instead they offer thoughtful contemporary impressions of classic works. In The Prince and the Troll, narrator Rebecca Lowman's lilting voice and endearing laugh are captivating - as the prince discovers. Kimberly Woods is authentic in Hazel and Gray, a frightening cautionary tale based on "Hansel and Gretel."… The large cast of The Princess Game delivers a murder mystery that unfolds via police interviews. It's anxious, desperate, and edge-of-your-seat creepy. Kate Rudd narrates The Cleaners with an eerie detachment that fits it.… Frankie Corzo delivers The Wickeds, a story of wicked stepmothers.” (AudioFile Magazine)

Really hated this

I'm a big Ken Liu fan which is why i bought this. His story is the best in the bunch but the other three are very weak. Two good performances (the last two) one ok one (second), one laughably bad performance (the second). it was "performed" by a cast but I suspect each performance was recorded independently as the sound quality varied wildly between them and some of the performers were just dreadful. It was odd to have stage direction read out "steps recede". Don't bother.
