About this listen

The seventh and never-before-published book in USA Today best-selling author Nicholas Sansbury Smith's propulsive postapocalyptic series about a soldier's mission to save the world.

An army advances....

In Europe, Master Sergeant Joe Fitzpatrick and Team Ghost return from a mission deep into enemy territory, only to find that the Variant army has grown stronger, and they are advancing toward the EUF's stronghold in Paris.

On the brink of civil war....

Back in the United States, President Ringgold and Dr. Kate Lovato are on the run. The safe-zone territories continue to rally behind the ROT flag, leaving Ringgold more enemies than allies. But there are still those who will stand and fight for America. Captain Rachel Davis and Captain Reed Beckham will risk everything to defeat ROT and save the country from collapsing into civil war.

Fabulous

What a compelling story, utterly depressing at times when you want to shout - For Christ’s sake give them a break! But gripping and compelling, very well narrated by Bronson Pinchot who I’d never come across before, but does a fabulous job he makes Hannibal Lector sound like a pussy with his Lt Wood!

very good story arch, loved the series. thr ending was slightly dissatisfying as it could have used the opportunity of real life outcomes.

It may not be Shakespeare but it’s a jolly good listen

Ever had one of those series of books that you go from one to the next or even worse have to wait?

Well for me this is one of them. A grizzled special forces vet out to save the world on “one last mission” Lunatic American Military and a Female scientist.

It reminds me of a series of 24 lots of plot twists most are obvious and some are from left field

Don’t let this put you off it’s great read, don’t question the science or military tactics just enjoy.

Good read

As a veteran in the UK, I enjoyed this series and has led me to think of all the prepping I should be doing “just in case”. :) Thanks

Absolutely brilliant.

Simply incredible. I didn't know what else to say. What a ride. Captivating, intense, an absolutely wonderful story. I couldn't recommend this series enough. The writing is brilliant, the attention to detail. The character development, everything. I've grown very attached to team ghost. I'm genuinely sad that I've finished the series. if you haven't already, read this series. You won't regret it.

Enjoyable

I love this series, it’s well written. I think the narrator really puts a lot of feeling into the narration. He make listening very enjoyable. I wanted to keep listening to the story, but did not want it to end. The troubles of a good book!
