Summary
The modern apologetics classic that started it all is now completely revised and updated - because the truth of the Bible doesn't change, but its critics do. With the original Evidence That Demands a Verdict, best-selling author Josh McDowell gave Christian audiences the answers they needed to defend their faith against the harshest critics and skeptics.
Since that time, Evidence has remained a trusted resource for believers young and old. Bringing historical documentation and the best modern scholarship to bear on the trustworthiness of the Bible and its teachings, this extensive volume has encouraged and strengthened millions.
Now, with his son Sean McDowell, Josh McDowell has updated and expanded this classic resource for a new generation. This is a book that invites listeners to bring their doubts and doesn't shy away from the tough questions.
- Thoroughly revised and updated from the previous edition
- Now coauthored by Josh McDowell and Sean McDowell
- All-new chapters defending against the latest attacks from Christianity's critics
- Designed to be a go-to reference for even the toughest questions
- Offers thoughtful responses to the Bible's most difficult and extraordinary passages
- Expansive defense of Christianity's core truths, including the resurrection of Jesus Christ

An excellent book. The original book bought me to faith. This edition expands the material enormously.

Brilliant
I have no idea how long this took to write, but it's an extremely comprehensive, excellent work. There were some topics that went over my head, sure, but I still learned tonnes. I also appreciate Sean and Josh's honesty in not jumping to conclusions that they don't think that they can found, but instead taking their time to weigh the evidence. God bless both Sean and Josh for their efforts.

A must have resource!!
Although I sometimes differ in my conclusions, this book gives a very good overview on all important matters of faith.
It gave me, as a fundamentalist, a new appreciation for other positions.

Great book to summarise all the reasons to believe in our wonderful God
This is a wonderful antidote to the pervasive and dominant thinking in today’s society that Christians are irrational in their faith. I am a new Christian and find that I am constantly having my newfound faith questioned by others. I had already done my own research before, but this is a nice refresher and leaves me feeling confident that those questions won’t go unanswered. Highly recommend !

Great, in-depth analyzis on a scholarly level!
Very deep, logical and methodical ezamination of the claims against the truthfulness and historicity of the christian scripture cannon. Quite detailed and academic which may make it a heavy read for those looking for a simple story.

Hands down the best book on Christian appologetics
A long listening experience, but if this is the only way to familiarise yourself with the superb resources in this book, boy is it worth it.

A great resource for both skeptical and believer
First of all this is a long book but it's also an important one. While you can (and should) read it through, it's laid out in such a way that you can dip into any topic that you have questions on.
In short it looks at evidence of the Christian faith and considers both sides of the arguments for and against.
The authors are Christian so it should not surprise the reader to learn that they conclude the evidence is strong in support of Christianity but their reasons may be what do surprise you.
To get the most out of this book you must first identify your natural biases and be honest with yourself and the facts when they emerge as you listen.
I'll certainly be coming back to this book as a reference, highly recommended! 😃
