About this listen
Magic and fire burn....
The serenity of the Land of Faerie is threatened as the Unseelie queen, Aveta, rages war against the three remaining Seelie Realms of Faerie. As Shade's powers grow, she finds she is running out of time to keep the war from spilling into the human world. Winter is growing in strength as the evil queen's horrifying legions scar the land in their frigid wake. No one is safe. Shade becomes enemy number one for the Unseelie legions. Questioning her true role of power, Shade discovers the cost of winning may come at a much higher price than she ever imagined.

A fast paced and engaging sequel
Would you listen to Ever Fire again? Why?
Yes I would. It was a very fast paced and character driven book. Very interesting and likeable characters, especially Shade and the adventures and world that you are drawn into make it a book that you can easily come back too.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Shade. The story draws you in and you care about her character. Will she find out about her father and any other family and what about the people who she grew up with. She's interesting, strong enough, vulnerable enough and complex enough to be a character that you connect with.
Which character – as performed by Nancy Peterson – was your favourite?
Shade is a great character. I thought the narration of all of them and the entire book was great but both the narration and the writing bring our main character to the fore front.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I can honestly say that I was drawn into the book from the start. It feels full of life and Shade is coming into her own, developing her gifts and her strengths. It's a great ride!
