About this listen
These men killed mine, and for that, they have to die
Bristlebrook is up in smoke, my brutes are dead, and Sam’s camp is a powder keg begging for a flame.
Injured and furious over their losses, the surviving hunters are preoccupied with their own problems. Their factions and allegiances. Their internal wars and pissing contests. The new world they want to forge. They don’t look twice at their meek little captive.
They shattered my heart five ways when they killed my brutes, so I don’t care anymore. If I’m to stop the villains, I need to become one.
I need to be smart. I need to be ruthless.
Even if it means razing myself to the ground to do it . . .
We’re bringing her home, or we’re not coming home
They took our librarian from right under our noses—and with Lucky injured, Bristlebrook in flames, and our personal problems finally spilling over, we’re fracturing.
But we need to be better.
Bringing Eden home is the most important mission of our lives.
Followed closely by the second most important . . . building her a home worth returning to.
***
The Brutes of Bristlebrook is a dark(ish) post-apocalyptic, steamy romance series, and Eden will end up with three or more love interests after I’ve appropriately obliterated my listeners’ nerves. Expect complex characters, 1st person present tense, multiple POVs, MM in the harem, angst, lots of laughs, and to encounter material that some listeners may find sensitive.
This book is a big boy at over 180k words and deals with a lot of heavy content. I promise it gets brighter as it goes on (you know... mostly). Please see my website for TWs - your mental health matters.

Intense, Entertaining, and Captivating!
This is the second installment in the Brutes of Bristlebrook Series, a dark and steamy post-apocalyptic RH romance. This is one of my favorite post-apocalyptic series. This book is huge! The story continues where the first book left off. Eden, and her brutes ex-Army Rangers (Dom, Lucky, Beau, Jasper, and Jaykob) are amazing, enigmatic and complex characters. The chemistry is sizzling hot. The storyline is intense, entertaining, and captivating, filled with angst, tension, passion, secrets, and twists and turns. The world building is breathtakingly enthralling. Looking forward to listening to the next book in the series. The story is told from multiple POVs, and outstandingly well performed in duet by an impressive cast of voice actors.

The story and the narrators are great and very easy to listen too!
What a turn on! The story is fabulous and you get drawn in to it from the start. The narrators are great too, I could listen to them all day! Cant wait for next book!

Brutes , bubblebaths and betrayal
I have been waiting impatiently for the next part I'm this series since the minute I finished the first part.
It did not disappoint.
It's one of those books that you promise yourself, just one more chapter , then before you know it, it's 4am.
Chapter 18 made me laugh out loud , Beau and lucky are hilarious together.
I don't what to spoil anything but if you enjoyed the first book you will love this too.
The narrators are so talented, reading the book is good but listening is just perfection.
Can't wait to see what happens next!

I need the third book
I am left speechless. this series was a gamle for me. I did not think post apocalypse bdsm was for me, but... it was. The emotions, the conversations was just so good.
The whole missing out on establishing the boundaries in the first book set ut to create a lot of drama but our heroine figures out a lot and matures.
the second book ended on an emotional cliffhanger, and I don't know how I will be able to wait for the next book. 🤯

Another aural extravaganza!
Loads of joy this Christmas! Honestly, nearly 22 hours of listening time with superstars SebYo, Joe Arden, Teddy Hamilton, Jason Clarke, JF Harding, Connor Crais and Zachary Webber is the kind of bliss that makes it hard to go back to regular audiobooks. Avery Caris and Rose Dioro were also great. Book 3 can't come soon enough, but in the meantime, I'm sure I'll be revisiting this story a few more times.

What a rollercoaster!
This is hands down one of my favourite audios and I can't fault it; the talent in this production is unreal. This is a lengthy book but the duet narration keeps you hooked from the start. Like the previous instalment there are moments I enjoyed on the page but the audio just lifts it to another level; particularly the humour. One of my favourite parts of the book is Lucky, Beau and sherry and I'd recommend the audio for this chapter alone!
This book definitely puts you through the wringer; there are some really dark moments and mental health is a huge part of this story. Eden's despair for the first half of the book is quite tough to read but watching her gain her inner strength back makes it worth it. Mental health is a big theme in this and nothing happens overnight as various characters work through their traumas in different ways.
There are a lot of new characters in this (Bentley is my new favourite with his sword and his snake traps) and I really hope he gets a POV at some point as he is such a breath of fresh air. Jayk's girl gang is also very sweet and how they latch onto him from the get go (although the miscommunication about Eden's relationships with the other guys did leave me with a bit of a sour taste). Kasey is the best cheerleader ever.
There are so many highlights in this; Jayk getting his photo back (that has been stressing me out since it went in the toolbox), sassy Jasper (who is my favourite Jasper) and my all time favourite throuple Beau, Lucky and Sherry. And Dom, with all his red flannel.
That being said, although I enjoyed this it's not quite a five star read for me largely due to pacing. It was just a touch to slow; everyone was apart for way too long and there is a lot of walking in the woods. I did enjoy the new story arc and the majority of the new characters but I much preferred reading about the Brutes relationships with Eden and each other (especially since they were all apart for the first half). I was also a little disappointed there was no resolution between Sam and the Brutes and how the person who assisted with the attack was forgiven way too quickly (although I did warm to them by the end). The ending is pretty brutal but compared to what everyone else has done I'm really hoping Eden doesn't spend the first half of book three having to justify her actions over and over again. I really don't know how this can all be resolved in book three but I can't wait to see how it all comes together.
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely and I have added all the authors works to my TBR

Fantastic narration
This is one of thoes books that you can't stop listening to. I loved the range of characters, and the dynamics between them all. Can't wait for the next book to be released! The narrators that performed this were the real icing on the cake, such amazing performances that really brought the characters to life. I found this book searching for titles some of my favourite narrators had worked on Sebastian York, Joe Arden and Teddy Hamilton are all names I look out for but every single one of the narrators were fantastic in this! A good story can be ruined by bad narrators, this a great book enhanced by the best narrators. Well worth a credit!

I can't wait till the 3rd book to arrive
There are a lot of series that suffer at the second round, but not this one.
We get more backstory. And a "why choose" with actual very unique buil for all 5 MMC that I don't often experience in a reverse h@rem.
Again the cast is amazing. The full cast narration style give true justice to this piece. 🥰
