Gripping
What a study of perseverance and downright bloody-mindedness!! Amazingly read, the story is all the more awe-inspiring for being true. I think k I would have laid down and curled up long ago! A great read!

Fantastic story
A time when men were made of sturner stuff. A modest hand shake after 14 month of gruelling hell - makes you proud to be an Englishman.

What mental & physical strength !!
A truly great listen.
Once I started I couldn't wait for the next instalment. Beautifully narrated and his voice was the perfect fit for this epic story.
The mental and & physical strength of all those involved was truly amazing. Team work, togetherness, a bonding, looking after one another through thick and thin. The stow away becoming part of them team, being accepted, Shackletons leadership and his team obeying and respecting every order.
A brilliant book and now I feel lost.
