About this listen

Elevator Rides Are Awkward is a book about the effects of social media in the the millennial age. The millennial era is a time for innovative discoveries. This includes the evolution of phones, which led to the introduction of social media. Social media, the internet, and other mobile applications have changed the way that humans interact with one another.

Some may argue that this new media is taking over our minds and decreasing the amount of effective communication among people, but others use social media to their full advantage. However, this has caused a gap between generations. Both millennials and baby boomers have seen a change between the years of development in technology.

With all of the time that we spend on our phones, it can sometimes act as a "safety net" that we refer to when we are bored or uncomfortable. One of these examples may be when we encounter an elevator ride.
