Summary
Humanity's expansion into the stars has led to awe-inspiring discoveries - and terrifying new threats. An insidious alien race is waging an interstellar war, enslaving any civilization they encounter to carry out their galactic rampage. Now they have set their sights on mankind.
Tag Brewer is a medical scientist, not a ship's captain. But as humanity's survival hangs in the balance, he must lead a ragtag crew of humans, a skeptical alien, and a synthetic lifeform into the depths of enemy territory. There he forms an uneasy alliance with a group of aliens - the Mechanics - fleeing from the destruction.
There is only one way to track down and stop their frightening new adversaries. Tag must follow the trail of devastation left behind in the fallen Mechanic empire, where he hopes to recruit other survivors to their cause. But what Tag and his crew find is far more dangerous than any of them thought possible.

Fantastic
The only drawback is having to wait for the next book.
Both story and narration are superb, action packed with enough technical information to keep it insightful.
Tony is a talented author who takes time to communicate with his readers. Unfortunately I have now finished all his books presently on audible, but eagerly await more

It's like Star-trek, but really good !
Military Sci-Fi books are ten a penny and sadly I've tried most of them. This series is better than 99% of the generic, page-filling crap out there. Yes there are photon-drives and warp speed jumps and ion cannons but what do you expect from a military Sci-Fi novel. Give it a chance and don't take it too seriously and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Fast paced mission impossible
Engaging story and audio narrative. Individuals' perspective and moral dilemmas. Characters could be developed though.

3.5 stars
It’s well written and not bloated with language, it flows well. Everything else is between average to good. No issues with the narrator but I have experienced better. Characters, world building and story are all enjoyable but hardly inspired. I would still recommend as this writer’s style may suit you so give him a chance. Not overly lengthy but it fits a lot in for you to make your own opinion.
