About this listen

The collection isn’t complete without her….

The writer becomes the story when crime reporter Mia Hale is discovered on a beach in Jacksonville, Florida—bloodied and disoriented but alive. She remembers nothing, but her wounds bear the signature of a sadistic serial killer. After years lying dormant, the Collector has resumed his grim hobby of abducting women and taking gruesome souvenirs before dumping their bodies. Not one of his victims has ever escaped—and he wants Mia back more than he ever wanted any of the others.

FBI agent Eric MacFarlane has pursued the Collector for a long time—the case runs deep in his veins, bordering on obsession—and now Mia holds the key. She’ll risk everything to recover her memory and bring the madman to justice, and Eric swears to protect this fierce, fragile survivor. But the Collector will not be denied. In his mind he knows just how their story ends.

Critic reviews

"A smooth prose style and an authentic Big Easy vibe distinguish Tentler’s debut...the shivers are worthy of a Lisa Jackson." (Publishers Weekly)
"A compelling plot, thick suspense, a cunning villain, a shattered cop, and a victim who wants answers at any cost place Tentler in the same category as bestselling authors Lisa Jackson and Beverly Barton. Four and a half stars rating." (RT Book Reviews)

Riveting

What to say. The feeling of the torture was so realistic that you could feel every bit of pain. So good

Really enjoyable listen.

Enjoyed everything about this trilogy. No silly supposedly sexy voices for the bedroom scenes either. All narration was easy to listen to and kept you entertained.

Will look for more by this author

delicious Read!

not for the faint hearted because of the glory details and sinister protagonist, but a feast of plots, clues, characters, as well as some food for thought on one or two social issues.

Glad this was free

Usual damaged hero , fragile heroine. Serial killer thrown in. So predictable. I used it to fall asleep to . Glad I never paid for it . Gave it 2 stars as it was a brilliant sleep aid. All books by this author have the same sort of story. No originality

Violent, needlessly smutty, twaddle

I took to speeding through this recording. The violence was needless, not to say gratuitous. I lost track of who was who, also the plot early on. Endless violence. Really quite repulsive.
