About this listen
Cold. Cruel. Coward.
Ares “Wolf” Mallick ripped my heart out. He ground it into mush and didn’t even grant me the courtesy of a goodbye. He just left me. He left and said our relationship, fake or otherwise, meant nothing to him.
I made a mistake last semester, and it had nothing to do with our phony arrangement. I let him hurt me, and I refuse to make that mistake again. Wolf and I make it back into each other’s lives, and when we do, I make one thing clear. I don’t need him anymore.
Showing up for the holidays with his brother only drives the point home.
Cry. Red. Wolfy.
I’ve moved on from my ex-fake boyfriend, but unfortunately, the physical draw to him is still there. It’s carnal, and just as messed up as him and that period we played pretend.
Wolf has made it very clear he feels nothing for me, and I loathe the guy who savagely broke my heart. The pair of us don’t need or even like each other, but we don’t have to in order for a relationship with benefits to work. The Big Bad Wolf and I aren’t friends, and I have no desire to be…
I’m more than fine being his enemy.

intense emotional plot = masterpiece
I am in LOVE with the Court Legacy books, their parents, their children, just everything to do with this amazing and incredible world. With an intense and emotional plot this author has done it again, she has written a masterpiece that took over my entire life until I had finished it and had my answers ... well most of them.
A curvy fmc filled with drama and deep trauma and issues was the perfect choice for Ares, as that would be the only person to truly understand him. Fawn Greenfield is not perfect, she is flawed and has struggled heavily with guilt since her father died, just like Wolf did with his sister Sloane. But they saved each other in more ways than one and the direction this story took surprised me immensely.
Ares is a stubborn, typically arrogant Legacy Boy did I mention he was stubborn, for years he has punished himself for even the slightest things, carrying around this hidden guilt that should never have been a thought to him. Cruelly in fear, Ares has pushed everyone away that is until a certain redhead managed to worm herself under his skin which freaked him out completely. He is in denial whilst Fawn accepted and owned her feelings and then pushes her away continuously due to his negative opinion of himself. However, his devotion to his family, to caring for them, he is the epitome of a protector, wanting to protect everyone from the secrets and burdens he is carrying ... Its back. But that bombshell hits, and it hits hard and there is nothing to soften the impact.
Loved the cameos from all our favourite legacy boys and and parents int his one, they're family dynamic is something to aspire too! The author side characters are also not just there to make appearances standing in a corner but has left me with more questions needing answers. What's going on with Wells and Bow? Are these two a future legacy couple and if so how will this affect their relationship with Thatcher? I for one totally ship these two.
An incredible read, full of emotional traumatic scenes that left me both sobbing and seething with rage. Shout out to the narrators for their amazing performance bringin the characters to life using only their voices just made everything that I love about this story that much better! Epic character and relationship development with an well paced plot with unexpected twists and turns and what else could you ask for for the perfect end to Ares' story?

Back with the Legacy crew
We are back with the Court Legacy series and I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to this and boy did it deliver. This picks up where Eat You Alive ended and my boy Ares had some big time groveling to do. Fawn and Aries story took me again on an emotional jourent. There was so many twist and turns. I can't wait for more from the Legacy crew.
