About this listen

In Brian Keene's cult-classic Earthworm Gods, global super-storms decimated the planet, eradicating most of mankind. In the midst of this ecological nightmare, the remnants of humanity fought against a supernatural menace in a war that ranged from the rooftops of submerged cities to the mountaintop islands jutting from the sea.

Now, the battle continues. As the last of the mountains sink beneath the waves, the survivors make a desperate final stand. But the worms aren't the only enemy they face. The worldwide ocean is host to a legion of monsters, each more terrifying than the last, and mankind is vastly outnumbered by these new horrors. Adrift at sea and struggling to stay alive, the surviving members of the human race cling to a thin strand of hope. But their possible salvation may be worse than their looming extinction....

Amazing. As always from Keene.

I have to say that I am a long time fan of Brian Keene. I first read the original earthworm gods, quite a long time ago now, and I was instantly hooked. The whole universe of this is amazing and you should definitely read it.

I VERY strongly recommend you start with earthworm gods, then read darkness at the edge of town, then the complex, before reading the rising, then back to earthworm gods deluge, then the hollow and other books. All of them are awesome, but it's best if the underlying universe to get revealed in glimpses.

Again, if you haven't read any of Brian Keene's work, DO SO NOW! You are DEFINITELY missing out if you even remotely like apocalyptic horror.

liked the story, the narration but way to many mistakes

loved the story and the narration style and pace was great. For me this book looses most marks as way too many mistakes made it into the final version. For example on a number of occasions you can hear the narrator mess up and restart a line.
