About this listen

Alien nano machines grant everyone stats and levels...while giving rise to a new race of cybernetic horrors. Human civilizations crumbles, a crushed alien ship their only hope.

As a martial arts instructor, Nori has always had a simple purpose in life: Help underprivileged kids build confidence and self-discipline. Now she'll have to do so for everyone else, too.

It all started with a mist, one that gave everyone stats and levels, but also disabled technology and transformed animals and humans into cybernetic horrors that preyed on the living. Within months of its inception, civilization had crumbled.

When Nori and two terrified students find a crushed alien spacecraft, they also find a glimmer of hope. Though damaged and barely functional, the vessel presents mankind with its first chance to retake the world from the unrelenting monsters. Using the new System, a vast universe of possibilities beckons them to restore and upgrade the ship into becoming humanity's new beacon of hope…but only if they can survive the relentless onslaught of mutated beasts.

It’s a brilliant series

I purchased book 1 about 2 years ago and have been waiting for the next instalment ever since. And then… bam! All 3 books released as a boxset! It’s well worth a listen and has a very engaging storyline with action, humour and some truly memorable characters. Bravo!

Such a great collection

I just loved this, strong world creation and fully formed characters. I got completely lost in it. I’d highly recommended 🤗

Decent Story, rushed and terrible ending

Ending ruined the series for me, felt rushed and under developed. the first few books are decent though.

Great take on the genre, with great characters

From goblin overlords to space battles, Shemer Kuznits provides a fabulous post apocalyptic tale.
Jeff Hayes is his dynamic self as ever in his performance of these books.
It's a lovely take at the dynamics of this genre, with plenty of originality and character depth.
Having previously read the first two books, I was eager for this one, and great value in the 3 in 1.
Can't wait to see what he produces next.

Exceptional

A thoroughly entertaining, well thought out, evolving story.

Really loved this! It's funny, the tech concept works well, it's full of action, the rpg progression is good and not at all overwhelming or distracting from the story. It is a bit cliche to begin with, but that's more than made up for with the rest of it.

Honestly, I'm astonished this was done as a box set, I wasn't expecting much because of this, but ended up being totally surprised and thankful.

It's both a shame and a good job there's no more books in the series, as I have done virtually no work over the last few days whilst listening to it...

Glad I ignored the single negative review when I decided to give it a go! I have around 600 titles in audible and I have no idea how this could get a 1 star review? The only logical conclusion that I can draw is that the specific reviewer rated the wrong book, it was a spam message or something similar.

Gripped me from the start and never lets up

i have read so many audio books and many have been fantastic and i have not written reviews, but this trilogy i really enjoyed so much.
Clever writing that never seems to drag, the story builds at the correct pace and will keep your interest from page one to the very end.
Loved it !!
