Summary
Togan’s dark past continues to follow him even as against the tenets of all that is possible, he finds himself inside the Dinotian Shield. But even as he renounces his feared heritage and looks to settle into a quiet existence, the war that rages demands his full attention and that he chooses sides. When he unintentionally comes to the attention of the Mage Dythan, he realizes that he must find a way to hide his true nature from the most powerful Mage in the realm. That becomes difficult when Dythan invites Togan to be his apprentice.
Encountering the strong-willed and fierce Captain Jisra only complicates his life further as he soon realizes that she was the one that had appeared unbidden into his dream.
