Summary
Die Novelle "Drei Tode" wurde von Lew Tolstoi im Jahre 1859 geschrieben. Sie beschreibt die unterschiedlichen Arten zu Sterben und den unterschiedlichen Umgang mit dem Tod von Adel und Bauern im Russland des 19. Jahrhunderts. Es werden drei verschiedene Tode dargestellt. Zum einen, der einer Gutsherrin, stellvertretend für den russischen Adel; weiterhin den Tod eines Kutschers. Der Kutscher vertritt die bäuerliche Bevölkerung, welche Tolstoi idealisiert. Schließlich beschreibt Tolstoi noch den Tod eines Baumes.
