Loved the story. Great book for those who loved the WoF series. I listened to this with my siblings and they loved it. :)

Thoroughly enjoyable for new and old fans alike.

A lovely book filled with action, funny moments suspence, and thrill. "Dragonslayer" was a long awaited book in the Wings of Fire Series, and it was sure worth the wait. A brand new perspective with fresh characters on the continent of Pyrrhia.
The writing was excellent; no plot holes I could make out, and the performance of the voice actor was magnificent.

Each character in "Dragonslayer," human or dragon, was easy to fall in love with - or hate with a burning passion. Take General Sandstorm for example. You can feel the self-importance and snootieness coming off that SandWing in waves. And Sky - Peril's lost brother (although this is never mentioned in the book, I'm almost sure this was confirmed by Sutherland,) is such a wholesome little bean who loves snails, and you'd kill all of the Kingdom of Sand to protect him.

Everything in this book was perfect - I'm dying to see the conclusion of Leaf, Wren, Sky and the other's adventures.
And not to mention that astounding cover art!

Tui, you have done a WONDERFUL job with this book. Very excited to see your next one, although don't rush a masterpiece!

Amazing of course!

I absolutely loved this book! It's brilliantly written with no plot holes and the best characters ever!
I just want to pick sky up and take him home. Rose and Stone were such a great example of how people change people and I loved everyone's names, I mean Bluebell? So cute!
My favourite parts were where Wren and Undaunted interact, but half the time I'm waiting for her to slip up about Sky and be like "sorry gotta fly, my dragon's probably worried about me".

I loved how Sutherland placed the story that it fit in with the dragons' stories. Like how clay saved Leaf in the Sky Palace and Ivy saw Sunny in her vision, areccommend, splendid.
Hundred percent reccommend!🔥❤️🧡

Summary is deceiving

Over all, it's a good book. But, unlike what the summary would make you believe, the book is not set before the war. It actually takes place while the war is still going on. Really, all you get is the epilogue, which is only about when the three scavengers fight queen oasis, and who really killed the dragon. I hope I'm not coming off too harsh, but the summary doesn't give you a good idea on what to expect from the book.
