Summary

Stormfall is a dragon born with a coat the color of a starry night. When a violent storm strikes his island aerie, he is carried on hurricane winds into the complicated and sometimes cruel world of men. There, his journey takes him from fisher dragon to farmer, pit-fighting dragon to warrior, each step leading him closer to a remarkable destiny. But war is coming to the land of Remus, and with it a crossroads for the Night Dragon and the young soul-boy he allows on his back. How far is Stormfall willing to go in a war that is not his own?

Black Beauty with dragons

This story reminds me very much of black beauty. I thought it was okay overall but there were some repetitive elements that started to grate on me.

1. The number of times "My Father, Draco Stellorum" was repeated.
2. The amount of times the protagonist reflects on his memories, sometimes the same memories at different points of the book
3. The overuse of descriptions that are long lists of and + nouns "and this, and that, and this, and that"

A moderately enjoyable but wholly predictable tale, but with dragons, and everything is better with dragons.

Great narrator with wide range

At Last ! The other side of the coin.

Never before have I heard such a riveting tale of life's dizzying highs and wallowing lows. Amazing depiction of the life of The Dragon, Black as night.
The narration by Mr. John Lee was superbly delivered, as always, and in fact I discovered this book whilst looking for others that he had narrated.
I eagerly await more tales from this dynamic duo .

Stunning

One of the best fantasy novels I have read. Brought me to tears towards the end. Wonderful tale, great narrator. A tale for any age.
