About this listen
He stopped a robbery. Now he has to do the right thing.
Having left his life in politics, lawyer Chase McCabe is on his way to meet his brothers and sort out family matters when he stops for gas and walks in on a robbery in progress. However, he discovers the culprit is just a kid, and her situation may not be as clear as he thought. Authorities have written the girl off, and his need to fix everyone’s problems sets in, putting him on a collision course with a mysterious woman with secrets of her own and entangling him in a precarious relationship that ties him to a place he was just passing through.

Very interesting! And sexy too!
What I like about this series is that Lorhainne Eckhart makes the romance aspect of the story very sweet and sexy while touching on a lot of different issues that take the stories to the next level. In this book she touches on domestic violence, the foster care system, distribution of guns and so much more. And Chase.... oooo la la! He is an intelligent, sexy character with a lot of depth. There are a few surprised along the way as these characters redefine the meaning of family in a wonderfully profound way.

Brilliant written. Realistic and engaging.
Rose and Chase story is so realistic. I experience several emotions while I read this book. The story is absolutely brilliant, and the author did a great job, making the story really came alive. Especially problems in the foster care system and how poorly the police handled the situation with young girl.
Many children in foster care could do well with more people that are as caring and persistent as Chase.
Through out the story, strong emphasis is placed on the importance of family, whather they are blood related or not.
The book is well written with wonderful characters and a good story line. Brilliant narrators. I definitely recommend

better then the first
I enjoyed these boom more then the first. I found the heroine way more tolerable and selfless in this one. Chase is a super sweet guy who wants to fix everything but still has the alpha male on it. first time listening to the narrator and I enjoyed her.

Chase
I enjoyed listening to Jaclynn Elfring.
Chase stops at a petrol station on his way to Nevada for a family reunion, he comes upon what appears to be a robbery. One involving a teenager with a gun. But it isn’t what it seems. The fixer in him needs to help.
A good story
