About this listen
What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? Navigating life can sometimes feel like an impossible task, and often guidance is found in the most unlikely places.
Let one dog’s journey of discovery show you the way.
Follow the tale of a dog’s ten lives and learn life’s most important lessons from man’s best friend’s viewpoint. Funny, realistic, and sometimes sad, Dogs Get Ten Lives is an emotional roller coaster that provides a different perspective on human relationships and the role of dogs in our lives and the wisdom they provide.
“I’ve seen a look in dogs’ eyes, a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt, and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts.” (John Steinbeck)
"The truth is, once you learn how to die, you learn how to live." (Mitch Albom, Tuesday’s With Morrie)
“We live as ripples of energy in the vast ocean of energy.” (Deepak Chopra, The Way of the Wizard: Twenty Spiritual Lessons for Creating the Life You Want)
“Dogs got personality. Personality goes a long way.” (Quentin Tarantino)

"Narrator Jack de Golia's friendly, engaging voice brings a childlike quality to canine Luna's story as she tells her mate about her nine previous lives. There's warmth in de Golia's voice as Luna recalls beloved human companions and then sadness and anxiety as her previous selves adjust to changes in the humans' lives. Her experience as a street dog, teaming up with another dog and a cat, will give listeners a smile even as they realize how rough life on the street was. Cruelty comes into Luna's past lives in the form of an abusive drunken owner and a brutal career as a fight dog, with profanity popping up occasionally. De Golia's voice resets to a human perspective for dog-related short stories at the end." (AudioFile)
