Summary

Doc Martin’s idea of a perfect Christmas Day is to remain steadfastly alone and catch up with back issues of The Lancet. However, Portwenn is fighting off the cold and frost with a period of determined revelry before it heads into its deep winter sleep, and his patients are even more exasperating than usual.

It will take all of Doc Martin's willpower to fend off the attentions of the Christmas spirit…

A novelisation of the popular TV series featuring Martin Clunes.

Thoroughly enjoyable

Both Doc Martin viewers and new readers will enjoy this very funny recap of several of the series’ stories. Brilliantly performed.

Great fun

Easy listening, and a bit of fun over the Christmas period. I hope some more Doc Martin books will be produced soon.

Give it time, it grows on you!

What made the experience of listening to Doc Martin: Mistletoe and Whine the most enjoyable?

The narrator is excellent and takes you into each situation in your minds eye to this beautiful harbour in Cornwall and the characters that live there.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Doc Martin: Mistletoe and Whine?

There are lots of them really, it's hard to think of just one, maybe meeting his parents again....

Have you listened to any of Mark Meadows’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This is the first time and he gets each and every character spot on.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it really is great to go back over again and again to experience the story...

Any additional comments?

It did take me some time to get to grips with this audible, but maybe I was not concentrating or I felt that Mark Medows was the wrong chap to be the narrator - how wrong was I, he was excellent and even sounds like Doc Martin, as well as several others, even the kids voices he gets just right...just off to buy the other DM audible now.
