About this listen

Why should you settle for 0.01 percent interest in a savings account? Or be okay with a treasury bill which pays less than 2 percent per year?

Back in 1990, you could have retired comfortably with a nest egg of $500,000. All you had to do was invest that money into a Treasury Bill, and you would have earned a steady 8 percent every year.

That’s $40,000 deposited into your account every single year from what most experts would consider the world’s most stable investment.

These days, if you invest $500,000 into the same Treasury Bill, you won’t be getting 8 percent per year. Nowhere near that.

In 2020, a Treasury Bill paid just 1.25 percent every year. That’s just $6,250 income per year on a $500,000 investment.

And you can’t live anywhere in the US, UK, or Canada on $6,250 per year.

So, what to do instead?

This book will not only show you why you can’t rely on government bonds for your retirement, it will also show you exactly what to do instead (Hint: It doesn’t involve relying on Social Security.)

Here’s just a fraction of what you’ll learn inside:

  • How to get rich in real estate without owning any properties
  • The “yield trap” - how to avoid bad value dividend stocks
  • Get in before March 29 to profit from this “tollbooth” oil opportunity. This company’s business models thrives even if oil prices are less than $10 a barrel
  • Better than Tesla? This renewable energy company is booming right now and continues to reward investor with large distributions
  • Instead of paying $3,200 for a single share of Amazon, you can invest in Amazon’s landlord for just $30 a share
  • Great dividend stock or yield trap? Our honest thoughts on AT&T
  • Forget Johnson & Johnson, this dividend stock could easily bring you an extra $100/month
  • The little known 1986 tax reform which makes these companies fantastic dividend opportunities
  • How to buy the best bond funds in the world (which outperformed the S&P 500 by 3:1) without paying their hefty management fee. This sounds impossible but anyone can do it using a normal brokerage account.
  • The best monthly paying dividend company (We narrowed it down from 56, and this little-known San Diego corporation will send you dividends every single month.)
  • And much, much more!

You’ll also get our 10-part video course Company Valuation 101 as a free bonus. This is not a 600-page textbook which you need an MBA to understand. It is narrated in plain English and free from repetitive technical jargon.

Every single piece of financial terminology is clearly defined inside. You’ll find easy-to-follow advice in how to develop your own process for analyzing companies as well as concrete examples of everything we teach.

This book is for everyone who feels frustrated and crushed after watching so-called professional money managers lose half your money while charging fat fees.

An eye opener

I'm 30 and I bought this book as I wanted to start thinking about "the future" after finally buying my first house. Finally having to do some adulting and it is daunting.

This book is great though. It's a great look at how to invest properly and not in fads. It's long it's detailed and it's a great in depth look into how to retire properly.

The narrator is very easy to listen to as well

Never too late to plan for your retirement

I have listen and read many books on investing and this book contains exceptional content! It's obvious that currently people are crazy about bitcoin and cryptocurrency but not everyone can handle the volatility that comes with that type of investment. This book is great for people who want to a more informed investor, making investment into something with less volatility and more stability. The book is packed with valuable insights. Take your time to consume the content and you are on your way to easy retirement.

Just what I needed!!

Talk about thorough! This book has it all.
I have listened to nearly all of the books in this series and this one is certainly no acceptation to the standard set by the books that have come before. It is easy to understand and has information that it is not only informative but bite sized and easy to digest.
The topic is not an easy for someone like to grasp but I had no problems and it really lights a fire in me and makes me want to get started immediately.
To sum up, I highly recommend this to anyone who is a visual learner like me. Its not that there are lots of images (obviously) but it is easy to visualise and learn from.
Great work!

Helpful and Informative!

The book gives a lot of helpful information to help me as an investor. As a real estate valuer, I find the book informative. I had bought some bonds hoping It will yield some good returns for retirement, but the book gives more information on what to do.
The Covid -19 has brought many fears to investing, with the low-interest rate, bringing many more fears to people. The book gives information on the standard retirement account. It provides strategies to generate income and grow a small store to a larger one. It takes a bit of work and dedication that one needs to put in today, but the benefit will be worth it.
