Summary

Discovery of Less is the true story about one man's poignant and humorous journey of stepping out of the comfort zone of everyday life and letting go. Through his insightful and refreshing storytelling, Chris Lovett shares details of how he found enriching outcomes of a simpler approach to life and work after decluttering, selling off everything he owned, and walking away from the security of a stable career.

Although the material deals with important issues such as clutter, emotional attachment, stress, sentimental attachment, debt, career change, imposter syndrome, and the like, there is always room for fun, and Chris brings color, flavor, and reality through his storytelling and just adds a little bit of dirt to the clean minimalist aesthetic. This audiobook is your companion to stepping out of the lost years and providing inspiration and motivation to ditch all that stuff that holds us back to be better and do better with less.

Brilliantly Inspirational Book - Should be

This is a brilliant listen - which inspired me to declutter my home, garden and digital world.
I could totally relate to Chris's story - holding onto things "just in case".
But actually having less has created more space in my home & garden, less junk in my email inbox & more cash in my bank!
I have sold items on various selling websites which paid for a holiday for me and my daughter and have even started a little business selling items as a result of this book.
Thank you so much Chris - well written, inspirational and has been a real game changer...

Interesting enough but I didn’t find it amazing

An interesting enough story but I didn’t find it particularly engaging or insightful on the usubject of minimalism. Felt more like random diary entries that I found far too detailed into the minutiae of his life. Ok

A fantastic message, delivered perfectly.

Chris provides an insight into how he found his own path in life and discovered his purpose through the catalyst of decluttering. His story is simultaneously thought provoking and funny, and will no doubt inspire others to apply a minimalist approach to their own lives to help clear the fog and identify their own paths. The Mask theme tune will always be a personal favourite part to this story.
