Every director should read this!
Reading this, it is clear to me just how few of the directors I’ve worked with have read it, and how badly most of them need it! Judith tackles each of the director’s common pitfalls and finds ingenious solutions, using the “language of permission”. It is wonderful to hear her narrate this herself, instead of a someone else having to pretend like they know what they’re talking about. A wonderful companion to the printed version!

amazing - overwhelming
There is an overwhelming amount of information in this audiobook whicb can seem a little daunting at times to listen to at a strech.
I Dipped in and out of it across about 2 months and I was able to really use it as a daily dose of Direction education and it has been lovely.
recommend to anybody interested in directing whether it be for film or for stage.

The title is very accurate
I very much enjoyed the book and it gave me a great deal of new knowledge even though I currently study in film school. My only negative was that some of the practices presented in the book don't really happen in my country but that's not the fault of the book that's mainly for an american film maker. If you want a great book about directing actors, listen to Judith Weston!
