Enjoyed it very much

Best zombie story I've listened to in a long time. The narration was superb, as expected.

Entertaining zombie horror

I listened to this one primarily because R.C. Bray is one of my favourite narrators and ended up finding it a pretty decent zombie horror!

It follows the standard "sometimes the living are worse than the dead" trope but manages to execute it reasonably well, again nothing unique, but certainly entertaining!

The action scenes were the best part - intense, and one in particular quite grotesque.

If the dialogue and prose hadn't been as repetitive, the action would've definitely got it a higher rating, but as it is, 3 stars feels right. It's still a lot of fun, so if you're craving a quick zombie thriller, give it a go!

I really enjoyed the characters, I just wish it was longer! Good narrator as well.

Zombie cheesecake

Cliché after trope after cheese. Moderately entertaining with some interesting characters left under developed and paper thin. Narration is pretty ordinary. Worth a listen if you’ve run out of credits and Zombies are your thing.

Die Trying a free book

This was a free one and at first I thought it was a bit dull . But with perseverance it wasn’t too bad at the end.
Ok for free 👍

A different style of zombie story.

A good story, well written with no true hero characters, just those trying to survive. The underlying tale is a little cliche but enjoyable none the less. R.C. Bray, as ever, narrates brilliantly, really bringing the characters to life. if you like the walking dead, this is right up your street.

An excellent thriller from beginng to end.

This book is a great demonstration that a trilogy is not required to tell a story thaf has a complex detailed post apocalyptical 'zombie' plot. Congratulations to the author for being brave enough to write this original story in just one novel rather than a series of books which I believe would have a greater financial return. OK the author does not try to change the basic features of the typical zombie storyline but as a stand alone novel the plot has to move much faster and there is less space for worn out clichés. I am sure that anyone who enjoys this genre will fully enjoy this book.
Let's just hope that this will be a return to fully self contained single stand along novels that can be read in one sitting which I found out I did it with this book rather than having to wait several years for numerous editions to be published before a final conclusion becomes established

A little predictable

A good concept, excellently narrated, but just a tad too predictable in places. Some parts left me rolling my eyes and it can get a bit clichéd, while other parts had me thoroughly enjoying it. Would I carry on with the series? Probably not, but if you enjoy a thriller/action audiobook and can look past the deepest Americanisms and hero clichés then you'll likely enjoy this one.

Fair

Not bad but thought after a fair beginning the rest of the story as rushed !
