Summary
"What a fantastic start to a new fantasy series! I love a strong female lead and we were delivered that in spades with Larkspur.... This story is fast paced and exciting right from the start. I can't wait to see what comes next!" - Boundless Book Reviews
From HiJinks Ink Publishing and Shannon Mayer comes The USA Today best-selling Elemental Series beginning with Recurve (book one). With over 1.4 million books sold, Shannon Mayer proves, once again, she can dominate her genre right out of the gate.
"My name is Larkspur, and I am an Elemental."
My people use the power of the earth to sustain life and defy our enemies. I should be at my father's side as a royal princess. But as a half-breed bastard child, that isn't going to happen.
Taken away by the last Spirit Walker, I am meant to train with him so that I can finally stop the false mother goddess and her plans to rule both humans and elementals. I am meant to train so that I can meet her on even ground, but training takes time.
Time is not something we have. The world is coming apart at the seams as the humans rain down destruction upon their own kind and the supernatural world. The false mother goddess is hunting down the most powerful elementals to take the last of their power, and through it all, the secrets of who I truly am begin to spill upward.
I must find the strength to stop the mother goddess and to save our world, but which aspect of my heart will hold me up, and what will it cost me in the end?
Blood of the earth....

Powerful
I can’t begin to describe how powerful & gripping this book is. I’m tempted to restart it immediately, just to listen to it all over again. Lauren’s performances are the only thing that make it even better & I 100% recommend absorbing this in audiobook form.

What an ending!
I have laughed, raged, and cried like a baby throughout this series. So fantastically, wonderfully written. The world building is amazing. The characters diversely beautiful and Lauren Fortgang brought it all to life. Can not recommend enough.

Great
As always an amazing book but would recommend reading or listening to the reily series before moving into this one or you feel as though you've missed a little peice of the story, not much but definitely helps to fill in bits of larks banishment years. No fairytail endings of living happy ever after. But couldn't of ended any other way and was the best ending I've seen in a while. Hats off to shannon mayer xxxx

Amazing
A great series; I couldn't put the books down even if I wanted to, they just kept me hooked. I love the characters and the plotline but what I truly connected with were the shades of gray that permeated the books. I don't want to say too much to avoid spoilers but well worth reading. Looking forward to reading the other books in this world.

Epic ending to an epic series
This final book in the series has everything you could hope for and more.
Shannon has mastered the craft of story telling and joining all the dots while making you gasp, laugh, cheer, cry and sometimes even screaming ‘are you frikkin kidding me?!’ with her audacious decisions about who lives and who doesn’t.
This series has spurs which will send you off wanting to read one of her other epic tales, but those spurs are told in enough detail that you do not have to read them to make this series complete.
An absolute joy to listen to. Well worth the hours. Well done!
