Summary

(Flake)

Wonderfully fun and insightful

Would you consider the audio edition of Der Tastenficker to be better than the print version?

I don't own the print version but Flake is a delightful writer, and hearing him read his own words in his voice and tone really made this a great experience.

Who was your favorite character and why?

As this is an autobiography of sorts, obviously Flake himself is the most important "character".

What about Flake’s performance did you like?

It's fantastic. Flake has a very dry and witty sense of humour, mixed with his Berlin accent and a strong lathering of sarcasm at times, this makes for a wonderful listen. His tone, his self-proclaimed inability to pronounce words (especially English words) all that well, his charm and humour are really delightful.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, most definitely!

Any additional comments?

This is NOT the story of Rammstein, this is covered more in Flake's 2nd book "Heute hat die Welt Geburtstag". This book contains stories form Flake's earliest youth in East Berlin, his first musical steps and many anecdotes about how life, the scene and Flake and his friends and family were living and getting by at the time.
