Summary
Chaos reigns in the arena after Hades, the God of Darkness, claimed Melany for his own clan.
Rumors say each student will be trained by their clan’s God, going to live with them. It could be the last time Melany sees her friends…or Lucian.
She has no choice, though: She must follow Hades to the Underworld and train with him in his hall.
She’ll learn to be stronger and fiercer.
She’ll learn to face Hades’ darkness…the same darkness lurking inside her.
But what if she likes it?
Under the seductive God’s training, she may not find the way back....
Ready for the darkness?

grown up
Melany has grown up alot from book 1 to book. She is changing a lot because of Hades others see it except her. I don't like how Hades is playing games with Mel. I fell bad for Lucian because of the way Hades is playing game with Mel life. When you know something is wrong and bad things are happening you tell so one but what do you do if the people you tell are in on what is going on. I love this book as much as I loved book 1 the cliffhangers make it easy to want next book. Elisa S. Amore is a great story teller and Vanessa Moyen, Stephen Dexter are great in this book also.

Wow
Year Two picks up right where Year One left off and it did not disappoint.
My emotions are all over the place in the best way possible. I still don't know who we're supposed to trust but I'm definitely team Hades. I loved Mel's interactions with him.
I'm looking forward to seeing where the story takes us after that ending.
Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Moyen continue to bring this amazing world to life.

Awesome
I received a free audiobook from the author and the review group Audiobx in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Melany has passed every single trial thrown at her at the end of her first year of Demigod Academy. No one has ever managed this before, and she's also been claimed by Hades which is incredibly strange. The gods argue, but eventually Melany is taken by Hades to the Underworld to train. Her time alone in the Underworld with only the enigmatic Hades and the bloodthirsty Furies may change Melany for good.
I really enjoyed this installment! I missed a lot of the training scenes with Mel's friends. She still got to see them a handful of times, but the changes she'd undergone in the UnderworldI made her something different from them. Seeing Mel trying to figure out Hades was fun, and I wonder if there's truly something between the two. I also loved the Furies! They were a bit resentful when they first started training her, but Mel improved a ton from their tutelage.
We also get some progression into the overall plot line aka the war the gods are training Mel and her friends for. Honestly, I wasn't surprised who was behind it. But I definitely think there's more to it than Hades is letting on. He is very cagey and he is totally hiding something. Persephone is brought up in this book and Mel doesn't know who that is which just made me cackle! But I am a bit of a mythology buff so it's fine haha.
I wish this had been a bit longer, it felt like the whole book whipped by! I want more. Also that ending was mean AF! Like what the heck!! That character better be okay or I'll be mad.
