The self-care guide that is a MUST
This is a very sensitive subject and some of us have to sadly face. I loved the self-care guide and the the way it has effective ways for burnout for those who are also going through a extremely difficult period. I would highly recommend this audio-book and believe it will be a fantastic aid for those caring for loved ones.

Such an Important Resource
This resource has been a game-changer for me. My father-in-law was just diagnosed a few weeks ago, and we have been devastated. After listening to this book, I feel much more confident we can do this. This is not going to be easy, but the author really helps provide the support and an easy-to-implement way to avoid becoming overwhelmed. I highly recommend this for anyone just beginning the caretaking or those who think they have it all under control. I feel they would also get so much out of this!

Much needed caregiving information
Dementia Caregiving Companion, to me, was a powerful audiobook to listen to as I found my mind wondering how I would react and manage if and when I am faced with this situation. Knowing that one day I will have to at least perform an assistant role as a caregiver, I feel the book provided me both insight and a plan for when that day comes.
I felt the best portion of the book for me was the chapters on communication, and what to expect from an Alzheimer patient and what kinds of communication I should use when handling the patient. I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking to learn more.

Emphasis on caregiver self-care
The best information, for me, was the emphasis on caregiver self-care. The book acknowledge the importance of protecting your own well-being and provides steps to help you do so. As someone who often struggles to find time for self-care, I found these tips valuable. The advice on integrating technology for enhanced safety and support was another standout feature, offering modern solutions I hadn’t considered before.

A WONDER BOOK
This book is incredibly moving, drawing out deep emotions as it delves into the realities of dementia. As a mental health professional with both clinical and personal experience in this area, I found it especially resonant. The story of Evie and Maria brings everything to life, offering raw honesty that makes this book impactful and relatable. It’s filled with valuable information for anyone managing dementia, including non-pharmacological therapies like Cognitive Stimulation and Reminiscence Therapy—practical, effective tools for treatment. The section on clinical trials introduces a sense of hope, and the "Caregiver’s Corner" is a thoughtful addition, offering reflection points, resources, and reminders on self-care for caregivers. This book is an invaluable resource for anyone caring for a loved one with dementia.
