About this listen
A magical fantasy adventure...
It’s spring. Nothing magical has happened for ages. Then, Dylan opens his school desk. Finding a talking hamster is weird enough, but soon, Dylan and his sister Emily are caught up in another incredible adventure.
This time, they have to dive deep into a cold, murky river and avoid being captured by the crafty Aquelsis or eaten by a terrifying Belfroad...and all to rescue the school bully!
Deep Waters continues the story from Deadwood Hall, as Dylan and Emily begin to discover more about magic and the secrets their grandfather has been hiding.

Wonderful wet adventures!
We downloaded the first of the series - Deadwood Hall - just before Christmas and my kids (8 & 6) absolutely loved it. The narration was spot on for them - and they're pretty picky... So I looked to see if there were any more adventures for Dylan and Emily - and there are! It turns out that in their pond there more amazingly imaginative (and squishy / icky) creatures. Took an hour and a half out of a long car journey. Well done Linda Jones (and narrator Philip Battley)!

Vibrant!
I first read Fist full of feathers by this author and then quickly had to binge on the rest of her work. And wow what brilliant work it is to!! I found reading her stories very cinematic in my head like any great books are. However when I saw that these were narrated on audible I thought I'd treat myself and my daughters (mainly me as they are to young yet). And what a treat it is! If reading the books are like films in my head then listening is like watching in 3d. Philip Battley absolutely brings it to life and captures the real thrill of adventure and magic. A must have to listen to and read. I highly recommend her other works as well. Brilliant.
