Summary

A lady with a secret

Kate Shackleton's sterling reputation for courageous sleuthing attracts the attention of the venerable Lady Coulton. Hidden in her past is a daughter born out of wedlock and given up to a different family. Now Lady Coulton is determined to find her and puts Kate on the case.

Thoroughly Enjoyyable

I love these Kate Shackleton books. As I am Yorkshire born and bred it is a delight to have a female detective based in my county with the bonus of such well researched background of a Yorkshire just after the First World War !

Excellent narration and a brilliant murder mystery

This has to be the best narration I have heard so far. I was drawn into the conversations and completely hooked on the story. Will not hesitate to recommend.
