About this listen

From seat No.9, Hercule Poirot was ideally placed to observe his fellow air passengers. Over to his right sat a pretty young woman, clearly infatuated with the man opposite; ahead, in seat No.13, sat a Countess with a poorly-concealed cocaine habit; across the gangway in seat No.8, a detective writer was being troubled by an aggressive wasp.

What Poirot did not yet realize was that behind him, in seat No.2, sat the slumped, lifeless body of a woman.

Fun!

I enjoyed this one. Plot twists galore and not TOO unbelievable. With a nice gaze into a rosy future.

One of Christie's Masterpieces

As always Hugh Fraser is flawless in his dipiction of the numerous characters featured in Agatha Christie's work. He embodies the characters spirit and leaves you amazed that it is just one actor playing all the parts.
Death In the Clouds was a mysterious riddle from start to finish , but what sets Christie apart from other genre writers is her uncanny insight into human psychology, in this way, no matter how far fetched the plot, it always is believable because she let's you look inside the mind of an insane person and see for yourself the intricate mechanisms that are making the cogs turn. Brilliant!

Incredible performance, intriguing story.

Brilliantly performed by dear Hugh Fraser. Exciting story that could be enjoyed in one sitting if life just wouldn't get in the way!

Can't fault it....

Another impeccable reading. Characterisation is wonderful. Story is, in my opinion, one of her best.

Another marvellous mystery to keep you guessing

I love Christie's books, not only because they're genuinely good mysteries but because you experience what life was like at the time of writing. This explores the jet set of 1935 but still remains relatable, thanks to one of the passengers having won enough money to take a one off holiday. People often wrongly assume Christie's books are solely set amongst the upper classes but as usual, her suspects are from every class & encompass different nationalities. Characters remain believable whilst humorous, brought vividly to life by the unsurpassable Hugh Fraser. There's also a spot of romance!

A Favourite Agatha Christie

This is the first Agatha Christie I ever listened to way back as a child on a long car journey with the family. I must say it's one of my favourites, the story, the red herrings, the humour... a must listen for all fans

Really got us speculating

My Mum and I listened to this together in a car journey to and from my brother's house. On arrival, half way through, we couldn't stop talking about who we thought had done it and why it couldn't be this person or that. It really made the journey enjoyable.

Superb....

I have always loved this ere. The way the story is told and the way it has been presented makes you just slow down and listen to it with no care in the world. I'm a listener of Audible on long drives and this story helps you reduce the speed take life a little easier and enjoy the smaller things in life. Love it!!!!

Another excellent Agatha Christie

Another excellent, exciting mystery featuring our beloved Poirot. A good, solid narration. Indeed, an Agatha Christie could never be anything less than a 5-star experience.
