Review
Roxie consistently writes wonderful books. I think she really understands human nature and that is how she can get so deeply into the minds of her characters. In this story a sister is suffering because she is trying to cope with her mixed up selfish druggie younger brother who is in real trouble. He cares only for himself and she cares for everyone. Their father ruined the son and ignored the daughter and the results are plain to see. This is not uncommon and mothers also are known to show such favouritism. I love how this story shows exactly what happens in just such a situation. Parents should take a long hard look at themselves if they are following this route. Luckily the girl Laurie is clever and good natured and can look after herself. Also when things become very dangerous along comes her knight Errant in the form of handsome CIA agent Mikey. Well this is a Roxie romance so there has to be a handsome hero lol. Don't you just love it? I can't get enough of this stuff. I hope she never stops writing, I know I will never stop reading and listening.
