About this listen
A career man, Edwin Murphy has always put more effort into his work than his family. Everything changes for Edwin when his wife files for divorce. On the brink of losing his home, his job and his little girl, Edwin orchestrates an intricate plan to eliminate his wife and regain his former lifestyle. The police are baffled when bodies begin to appear all over London with no apparent connection between them. Inspector David Morton must think outside the box as he investigates the deadly web of deceit behind the murders.

Good story terrible police procedure
The story in this book is ok. I listened to the end and enjoyed most of the tale and outcome.
However, I have absolutely not idea what police service or criminal justice system this book is meant to be about. It’s definitely not about how the police works in the uk and that’s a big gap in a series allegedly about uk policing.
A few examples, deputies are referred to frequently which don’t exist in uk policing, jurisdiction is often talked about which isn’t an issue in the UK it’s just fleeing lawful custody, the offences were incorrect, the involvement of a prosecutor from the CPS is all wrong and sounds as though it’s been written from a US perspective? Lastly, and my fav as a UK cop, the idea that detectives can pick up prints from a scene and that they carry a firearm is pretty bonkers.
It’s fine as a story but I wouldn’t read the rest of the series because the huge issues with it being a policing series are just too annoying!

Great story
This is a twisty and intriguing tale and, as always, narrated fabulously by Jonathan Keeble.

The best crime fiction I've read in a long time
Bringing the old premise of 'Strangers on a Train' into the modern world of the internet. An intricate plot of double crosses and false leads, the author treats us to a fast paced plot full of surprises with not a word wasted. I'm very pleased to have stumbled across Sean Campbell, I'm sure he'll go far.

The twists and turns keep you listening.
Brilliantly written, would make a fantastic mini series for TV. And brilliantly narrated. The characters are well crafted. I would listen to this again.

Never disappointed with Jonathan Keeble.
Brilliant story brought to life by my favourite narrator. This one was hard to put down. Or should say press pause, lol.

Intriguing as to whether it is plausible?
Great narrator, an interesting modern story, not sure how plausible it is in reality but conceptually very interesting…will try the next in series

Really enjoyed this!
Can't really fault this in terms of performance or story. The plot was original (at least, to me it was). I've not read anything similar before.
I enjoyed the narration. It flowed, had good character voices, and nothing irritated or grated.
Would definitely listen to more. Thank you. A great addition to the Plus library!
