What happens when we ignore problems in our spiritual life and hope they magically go away? What if we fail to recognize the warning signs? Are there any dashboard indicators in our personal lives, that can help us determine where there may be problems or alert us to impending problems we need to look at?
Dashboard indicators don't always reveal the entire issue, nor do they resolve the underlying problem. However, that's not what they are for. Dashboards exist to alert us of possible trouble areas. They interrupt our status quo and draw our attention to look further, dive deeper, and ask questions. We should not ignore them or hope they go away, because when we do, things usually get worse.
That's what this project Dashboard Indicators is all about. It is an attempt (a conversation) to better understand a pathway towards spiritual health, identify some basic core factors all people on this journey need, and how we can help someone understand how to identify gaps and perhaps take some next steps to become more like Christ.
