About this listen

Welcome to Darkblood Prison, where the worst criminals in the supernatural realm roam the murky corridors, aka my new home. According to my cellmate, there are three rules to survive the notorious prison: Don’t mix with the other supes, stick to your own kind. Anything can be made into a weapon so get creative. Stay away from the infamous Triad, the three brothers who run the prison. Rules aren’t really my thing, so I doubt I’ll survive my first week, let alone my 10-year sentence for soul sucking an entire Fae village I have no memory of.

As if coming to terms with my own demon and making nice with the scary inmates wasn’t bad enough, someone seems hell-bent on permanently ending my stay at Darkblood. Thankfully, the devastatingly gorgeous and equally infuriating leader of the Triad, who hates me for no apparent reason, still manages to show up whenever I get into trouble. With his help, I begin to piece together my missing memories and discover there’s much more to my bogus incarceration.

There’s a reason I was sent here, a dark family secret is coming back to haunt me. As it turns out, the baddies in this prison are nothing compared to the forces of the Underworld that are coming for me.

Darkblood Prison

I really enjoyed this book! The FMC ends up in a supplemental prison. She does not remember what she did to get put in prison. She also gets put into the wrong cell. She has to learn real fast who she can trust and who is out to get her. She also learns that she may be more then just half demon. Can't wait to see what happens next! Jess Trepanier did a fantastic job narrating.

Hoping second book as good

I really enjoyed this book but gk derosa never disappoints in her writing. I love how all these stories are interconnected and set in the same world so you get to revisit old characters from previous stories. This book was great and kept me wanting to read I cant wait to see what happens in the next book.

Another phenomenal tale!

The narrator did a phenomenal job performing all of the different voices. She has one of the most beautiful voices I've heard.

I loved all of the characters, especially Azara. She's full of spunk and sass. All of the characters are so richly developed. The plot is interesting and I love the writing style of G.K. DeRosa.  She writes the best fantasy love stories with lots of intense action from page one. This story is no different and I anticipate the next installment to see where this series goes.

blackout

after a blackout Azara ends up in prison (and put in the triads cell) being told what she did. At this point she is trying not to reveal who she is related to and trying to survive.

Smoking hot!

OMG!! I had trouble hitting the pause on this one, 'cause ohboy, was it smoking hot, intriguing and funny as hell at the same time..
The attraction and hatred brewing between Asara and Talon is palpable - it seriously had me rooting for them! Enemies-to-lovers is just fascinating.. Asara serves as a great comic relief at the same time, with all her snarkiness and funny outbursts. The setting is a new one to me, never read/listened to a prison romance before. But it was fascinating! And I absolutely adore the world of Azar.
The narrator did an amazing job, she became the literal embodiment of Asara (or at least her voice did) and she had me laugh out loud at times - she was that good at delivering.
Highly, highly recommend this!!
