Ok, if you just want a 101 - not for me

I was excited at this title - I'm doing a degree in Business and thought this would be helpful in gaining a deeper understanding of dark psychology, especially in marketing.

As with all audiobooks, you have to create a relationship with the narrator - it is very difficult to engage with the narrator, it's almost condescending in tone. That was a put off to start with but I stuck through because I thought the subject matter would be interesting.

I was wrong. There is nothing in this book that teaches you secrets that can not be found on a list verse or pop sugar type website.

For me at least, the author has written something does not add value to knowledge: there are no references, rushed and sparse exercises that have been written about already like indispensable titles from Charles Handy, Dale Carnegie or SR Covey. The author is also insistent on using completely fictional case studies, like 'Bob' - rolls eyes.
