Summary
They were masters of the darkness, searching through eternity for a mistress of the light....
Alexandria Houton will sacrifice anything - even her life - to protect her orphaned little brother. But when both encounter an unspeakable evil in the swirling San Francisco mists, Alex can only cry to heaven for their deliverance.... And out of the darkness swoops Aidan Savage, a golden being more powerful, more mysterious, than any other creature of the night. The ageless Carpathian male snatches them from a hideous fate. But is Aidan Alex's salvation...or her sin? If she surrenders to Aidan's savage, unearthly seduction, and gives him the color, the light, the family he craves, will Alex truly save her brother? Or sacrifice more than her life?

Annoying mispronounsiatian
Gregori is not pronounced Gregory, it is pronounced old fashioned, Greg _ori, everything else was fine just that irritating mispronounsiatian again and again

Didn't enjoy.
I read this book a few years ago and enjoyed it enough for me to re-read it a few times. I loved charismatic Aiden and enjoyed the fantasy storyline. Having now had to change to audio books and knowing the book very well, i was really keen to hear this story. It was so disappointing - the narration was at times annoying, didn't capture the male protagonist's character and the voice used for the female lead Alexandria was the type of voice that men use use when they're taking the p##$ out of a woman.
I'm really sorry to leave a bad review but I just couldn't finish the book. In fact I hated it so much I'm a bit gutted.
