Comprehensive guide to DIY hydroponics

I am not a green thumb, but I would like the benefits of growing my own fresh herbs, vegetables and fruits without the space & time requirements of traditional gardening. I have been intrigued by hydroponics, and I’m delighted that this book provides a comprehensive introduction to growing plants hydroponically either indoor or outdoors. It has specific instructions for 3 systems that you can build by yourself, as well as practical tips to grow specific fruits and vegetables, many of which are on my “hit list”.

A minor issue is that some sections repeat some of the same information, e.g. the definition and benefits of hydroponics.
Also, a PDF companion could provide useful visuals when going over hydroponic systems and construction steps.
Regardless, this is an easy introduction to those who are interested in DIY hydroponics, and provided me with even more motivation to get started.

A good guide

As a total newbie, I found the explanations clear and easy to follow. The step-by-step instructions made it feel achievable, even for someone like me with zero gardening experience. The narrator keeps things engaging, so it doesn’t feel like a dry how-to manual. What’s great is that it focuses on small spaces, making it ideal for urban dwellers. It’s affordable too, so you won’t have to break the bank to get started. It’s practical, encouraging, and leaves you feeling like you can totally do this.
