About this listen
Annie Graceland cozies can be enjoyed as stand-alones!
My name's Annie Graceland. I talk to dead people, and I solve their murders.
I’m out at a Halloween bash when Anthony, my obnoxious apartment manager, busts into my place and lets the dog and cat out. I'd gladly have killed him, but someone beats me to the punch.
Now, I’m searching for my beloved fur baby and trying to figure out who killed my obnoxious slumlord. It’s probably for the best I don't know that Theodore, my cat, and his furry pals are running loose in the neighborhood sniffing out Anthony's killer in the middle of Halloween madness. What could possibly go wrong?
Praise:
"One part Ghost Whisperer, two parts Stephanie Plum, shake and stir and you have Annie Graceland!" (Dakota Cassidy, USA Today best-selling author)

Cupcakes and cocktails
I've listened to all 6 books in the series now but I wasn't sure I was going to be able to. As at the beginning of the first books I found the narrator to be a bit harsh and felt like she was shouting most of the time. I persevered as despite the voice I was enjoying the story. I was delighted with the 2, 3, 4 and 5 as they were all read by a different person to the first, it was only when we got back to this book did the shouty voice reappear.
The addition of the cupcake and cocktail recipes I think is ingenious, such a novel twist and I can't wait to try some of them out. But something to consider for future, there is not just American folk reading the books, so the likes of graham crackers could do with an alternative.
One other thing, this book it appears to give a teaser for another book at chapter 38, by starting with chapter 1, but other than that gives no other clue, no name of book or hint as to what or when it will be available. It really is quite bazaar as if it shouldn't be there at all.
Apart from the voice in 1 and 6, I really enjoyed these books, I will certainly look for more by Pamela Dumond. xo
