Summary
We live in a reactionary culture where divisive issues arise, people on either side throw stones, and everyone ends up more entrenched in their opinions than in reaching common ground - or even exhibiting common courtesy! If there ever was a time for Christians to understand and communicate God's truth about controversial and polarizing issues, it is now. Believers must develop convictions based on research, reason, and biblical truth - and be able (and willing) to communicate these convictions with a love and respect that reflects God's own heart. In Culture Shock, bestselling author, pastor, and radio personality Chip Ingram shows listeners how they can bring light rather than heat to the most controversial and divisive issues of our day. Covering topics such as right and wrong, sex, homosexuality, abortion, politics, and the environment, Culture Shock is every engaged believer's must-have guidebook to replacing reactionary hate with revolutionary love.

Frank, open and honest presentation of the Church Worldview
This title, is essentially 6 separate sermons on topics that Christians just don’t discuss out loud in a corporate/church congregational setting!
I admire him for doing so and for outrightly leading his advice (& occasional admonition) from “This is what the Bible says.” He starts with stating what the world view is(mainly from a USA perspective, but that makes sense, speak to what you know) and then compares and contrasts or commends it with the biblical perspective.
Some very hard cultural elements and hot topics, because society is not what it used to be and not what it should be. And will never truly be. Chip discusses how Christians should approach these matters, to heal and not to harm. Very interesting and informative.
Non Christians & Christians alike will especially enjoy and support Chapter 5’s topic on Climate Change!
