About this listen
Ex-deniable operator Nick Stone is bodyguarding a TV crew on the streets of war-torn Basra. He seems certain to die when insurgent gunmen attack. Only a reporter's swift action saves his life.
When the reporter vanishes within hours, presumed kidnapped, Stone is asked by the Intelligence Service to find him. The trail leads from Iraq to London, Dublin, and Kabul - the brutal city where governments, terrorism and big business collide.
Caught in the crossfire, Stone's nightmare is only just beginning - for the hunter has suddenly become the hunter... ©2007 Andy McNab (P)2015 Random House AudiobooksWhat listeners say about Crossfire

Loved it.
Perfect narration. Great story; everything you'd want from a McNab. If this is your genre; I couldn't recommended it more.

Another great McNab story
Gripping plot, realistic and full of McNaberisms. Just a pity the books are no longer read by Clive Mantle.

Another great instalment of the Nick Stone series!
As part of the Nick Stone series you'll want to have started at the beginning, although regardless of this you'll be able to pick it up. Either way it doesn't disappoint.

A top listen
One of his best yet. And the narrator has a wonderful voice for the job, with good accents.

It doesn't get much better than this
Any additional comments?
Another great addition to my favourite Nick Stone series. This time we're off to Afghanistan, where Stone will become embroiled in a vendetta to hunt down the man who murdered his journalist friend.
My favourite part in this book can't be told because it will spoil it for the rest of you. Let's just say someone/people get their comeuppence finally.
This book is gruesome, gritty and tough; just what Dr Mcnab ordered. I loved it, it's definitely up there in my top 5 Nick Stone books.

Action packed twists and turns
A very enjoyable romp of action...although Mr. Thornley the narrator sounded like he had a cold part way through, which distracted me.
I will be getting more for sure! Mebbe.

Not too bad
Paul needs to work on his accents, it took away from the story a little. not sure if he's met a Fijian before but they do not sound like that, also his Polish is identical to his Middle Eastern, all his American accents sound like Black Americans too.
