About this listen
In a stunning twist of events, Addison Riley is launched from the halls of academia to the spotlight of Supreme Court nomination. She's not entirely sure she wants the job, but the opportunity to make history ultimately trumps the trouble of having every aspect of her life examined by friends and enemies alike. Committed to the process, she's determined not to let her attraction to a beautiful woman or the threats on her life deter her from becoming the first female Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
Campaign advisor Julia Scott has spent her entire life working to make other people successful, and her pinnacle achievement was the recent presidential election. Now she's in charge of making sure the president's first Supreme Court appointment sails through the Senate. She's faced tough challenges before, but nothing like those posed by the infuriatingly focused Addison Riley, a woman who challenges her mind and awakens her heart.

Lesbian west wing
I loved it. The narrator and writing jar a bit. But it's definitely a lesbian west wing story. Can't wait to listen again in a few months. Romantic

The best mystery/romance novel in ages
This audiobook is at first very jarring, very rapid narration, with deep and very thoroughly researched detail, so initially my reaction was to not proceed, sort of stressful rather than relaxing which I prefer, but after a few listenings to the first 5 chapters, each time needing to begin again, but I finally adjusted to the speed reading and accustomed to the American legal and political jargon, after which I was very intrigued by the mystery, really had to keep listening from chapter to chapter. Highly recommend this book in any format.

A very disappointing audio performance...
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I love Carsen Taite and everything she writes. This is a great story and a wonderful book to read!
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Unfortunately, this is the worst narration ever! Amanda Goodyear does not do this book justice at all, nor does she bring the characters to life. Sadly, her voice was quite bland and monotone. There's no feeling in what she's reading. I'm so disappointed in this narration that I regret buying it. Don't waste your money, read it for yourself!
