SO GOOD!!

Despite her best judgement Aspen went to Corium, her mom says it's the safest place for her. HOWEVER... is it really? It sure doesn't seem like it. The bullying is brutal and never ending.

I won't give any spoilers but this book is not for the faint of heart. It is dark and sinister at times.

Quinton is in charge, no questions asked. That doesn't mean he always knows what is happening when he isn't around.

I loved Q and Aspen so much, the connection is obvious, the hurt is devastating and the passion is fire!

I loved this book and can't wait to see what happens next, this can't be the end. There's no way I will survive it if it is. This is my first book by these authors and I can't wait to read more. I definitely got sucked into this world and can't wait to see where this story takes me. I'm 100% invested!

I won't give any spoilers away but the ending was brutal, heartbreaking, shocking, and definitely had my jaw on the floor! That was intense.

Q and Aspen have such a hard road ahead, especially after the cliffhanger from book 1. My concern was real. I didn't see how they were going to make it.

Quinton is such a perfect hero to me I just love him profusely. I want him to have all the happiness he deserves.

I hate the things that played out in this book, I was so distraught and wanted the HEA so the suffering would end, but alas that was not the case. Although the suffering was understood it was still painful.

I love Aspen for her strength and resilience, even when life is literally kicking her in the face. She was brave regardless of the circumstances even when she didn't know it and she fought when needed. That's what mattered.

I love these two and hate the trials they are going through!

This book was everything! I had no idea, I'll say it again.. I had no idea what I was in for. I wasn't ready.

The trial and tribulations that Q and Aspen have been put through is more than anyone should have to deal with but the ending was so worth it!

I can't believe all the twists and turns this book took me through, but I loved it. This book was exactly what I wanted for these two.

Quinton and Aspen have finally found their happy and I couldn't be more happy for them. I loved it!

Zara Eden and Connor Brown did amazing on these books!

I love how resilient this leading lady is. She really does come into her own in this final book. She shows great strength, determination and brutality that match her better half. A fantastic performance.

Dark Bully Romance

I originally listened to each book separately. Here are my reviews broken down per book.
========================
King of Corium by J.L. Beck and C. Hallman is a dark enemies-to-lovers bully romance that I listened to audio narrated by Zara Eden and Connor Brown. This is the first book in the Corium University Series.

This is the first book of J.L. Beck and C. Hallman's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am loving the messed-up relationship between Aspen and Quinton. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ends on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to read the next book in the series Drop Dead Queen.

Zara and Connor did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, enemies to lovers romances, bully romances, or romantic suspense.

I am loving the messed-up relationship between Aspen and Quinton. I can't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Wow that ending!!! I can't wait to jump into the next book Broken Kingdom to get the rest of their story.

Zara and Connor did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, enemies-to-lovers romances, bully romances, or romantic suspense.

This is the first series of J.L. Beck and C. Hallman's that I have read, and it won't be my last. They did a great job wrapping up Quinton and Aspen's story. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brough the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Ruins of Temptation to be released on audio so I can get Lucas and Delilah's story.

Zara and Connor did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

My Thoughts on Corium University: Book 1-3

King of Corium
Well, this is definitely a darker romance. But I think that’s to be expected when the book is about the adult children of criminals going to a university to network and become better criminals. But there are tons of trigger warnings for a reason, and I was just fortunate none of these were an issue for me so I could just enjoy that this author wrote a book that more than held my attention. This author wrote characters I loved and hated alternately throughout the story but most importantly that I felt something for. I got invested in the storyline and not only wanted to know what would come next but now need book two after that whopper of a cliffhanger.
Kudos to the narrators as well because they both did a great job giving voice to these characters and made this story very entertaining to listen to.

Drop Dead Queen
This ending was even more traumatic and intense than the last. My heart broke for Aspen and even for Quinton. The connection between them had been steadily building throughout the book even as they fought it in many ways. But they kept being drawn back together. All throughout though you knew danger was lurking in the form of Matteo. And when he came for her, he was brutal. Now I can’t wait to get book three to see Quinton get vengeance for himself but especially for Aspen.
The narrators both did a really good job once again and I had no complaints about either one.

Broken Kingdom
This book took me through a gamut of emotions as I listened but in a good way. In the way that makes me love getting wrapped up in a good book and that’s exactly what this was. There were things throughout that I liked as well as not.
I was a little disappointed with how when Quinton was pushing Aspen away, Aspen kind of kept throwing herself at him. I know that we knew how they both felt about each other but still, I kind of wanted her to be stronger and make him work for it after everything she went through and everything he put her through. Especially after what she lost, what they lost, she shouldn’t have had to beg for his attention, it felt like she deserved better, and I wish it had gone down differently. But he did redeem himself in my opinion with the lengths he was willing to go to in order to protect her. And she shows that she is willing to take steps to not only protect herself but also to take control of her own life. I loved the end of the book and the big twist thrown in. I didn’t see it coming at all.
This was another awesome narration performance as well. Both performers did a great job.
