Cor Amare
Just finished reading this book, book 2 of the Lunamare duet by Pepper Winters. preferred the second part if honest but absolutely loved listening 🎧 to it.. the narrators ( Tor Thom and Fiona Clare) were brilliant and perfectly cast for Alsan and Neri.
I made the worst mistake of my life when I was twenty-two.
I let love and fear destroy everything I ever wanted, and now I have a choice to make.
Run and hide or stay and face the consequences.
I’d always known I wasn’t allowed to love her.
I’d always accepted that I wasn’t allowed to keep her.
But that didn’t stop me.
I broke every rule and choked on every secret to have her.
The only problem is, those secrets aren’t just hunting me anymore, they’ve found me.
I can’t run.
I can’t hide.
For a moment, I had it all. I had all my dreams and the girl I would kill for.
But now, I have to pay the price.
I have to pay…
And I won’t survive.

So-so
I wasn’t a 100% sure I wanted to buy the second book, but my curiosity won after the cliffhanger so I got it. Unfortunately it didn’t get better. Again it was too long, things only start happening at the end, and the actual exciting part of it is a bit rushed. This wasn’t a bad idea but it just wasn’t executed very well. This book really treats itself like it’s something special, it’s a bit too try hard. The constant conversations between the main characters about their love was getting really old by the end. Literally constantly going around and around about how much they love each other, it’s half the book, that’s all there is to their personalities.
