Summary
When a single mom celebrates her recent divorce with a one-night stand, a farewell fling turns into a possible second chance. Best-selling author, Lydia Michaels, tells a stunning blended family love story that gives a spectacular glimpse into the world of autism.
Braydon McCullough has spent his life searching for the perfect woman. When a shy beauty propositions him, he assumes he’s found her. Blindsided by their chemistry, his life takes a bewildering turn when his perfect one-night stand vanishes without a trace.
Becca Stevens can’t afford to take risks, but when persuaded by friends to commemorate her divorce by approaching a gorgeous stranger in a bar, common sense abandons her. After an unforgettable night of passion, she panics, running back to her methodical life, promising never to be so reckless again. That is until Braydon unexpectedly tracks her down. But the real Becca is nothing like the woman he took to bed, and her reality might be too much for him to handle.

Just fell deeper in love with the series!
I love this family and adore the way these men love their women. I never expected to fall so far with this author and series.
Becca is a wonderful mom and very devoted to her family. I was very disappointed in how she treated Braydon but loved the end.
This series was my first taste of Lydia Michaels and I'm impressed!! I've loved every couple in this series, but truly think this is my new favorite. I loved Braydon finally getting his story and Sam still being his friend.

Compassionate and loving!
I am obsessed with this series. Love always coming back to McCullough Mountain to hang out with the family! This story is amazing for so many reasons. Becca and Braydon have a one night stand. The best time of their lives, but Becca is not looking for anything more than celebrating her divorce. When Braydon ends up at work though, all bets are off. He pursues her, but she does her best to discourage his advances. When he meets her son, he begins to understand her reluctance, but it is not a deterrent. In true McCullough family fashion, Braydon is all in, and does what he has to, to not only have an understanding of autism, but to win her heart. But will it be enough? Secrets kept, and her ex could be the end. Will they figure out they are meant to be or will it be the end? I love Becca. Yes, at times she can be frustrating, but she is a mom, and will do anything for her son. Michaels portrayal of Hunter, and his needs. And Braydon is swoony, impossible not to fall for, but what McCullough isn't? This is a fabulous listen, romantic, compassionate and loving.
Salenah De Kai is fantastic telling this story. She gives voice to all the characters, adds a bit of Irish brogue to some and makes the listen fly by. Her ability to go from the child of Hunter to Becca to Braydon is performed with ease and make the listen easy to follow and enjoy.

The Swooniest Saved for Last!
After the way things ended for Braydon in Almost Priest, I’d been eager for him to get his happily ever after. Lydia Michaels did not disappoint! She saved the swooniest for last! Braydon was EVERYTHING. I loved the way he bonded with Hunter. The way he prioritized him as much if not more than Becca made my heart completely melt! It was truly a beautiful thing that way he wanted to learn and understand and didn’t past judgement. I cycled back and forth between my feelings for Becca, I empathized with her because while I don’t have a similar experience as hers, I could feel her internal struggle but it hurt to see the way she treated Braydon. All he wanted to do was love her and Hunter. He was intentional and followed through with every promise he made. Full of laughter, love, heartache and plenty of feels, Controlled Chaos is definitely in my top three as favorites for the McCullough Mountain series. Salenah De Kai did amazing with the narration, she perfectly exuded every emotion to make for the ultimate listening experience.
